Mark A. Davy

Mark A. Davy is the president and principal of the SouthBay Investment Group, LLC.  Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of South Florida and has extensive experience in the investment markets, through both up and down markets.  Mark spent his early years as a Financial Advisor at Wall Street powerhouse Merrill Lynch and as a Vice-President of Investments at PaineWebber/UBS. 

He founded SouthBay in 2003 so he could be more responsive to the goals of his clients, and not to a corporate culture.   He has been a General Securities Broker (Series 6 & 7) since 1986, and Investment Advisor (RIA) since 1994.  Mark also has a Real Estate license, and has obtained the Variable, Life, Health and Insurance Agent requirements. 

Mark is a founding board member and Vice Chairman of the Board of Sabal Palm Bank of Sarasota.  He gives back to his community and has served on the boards of directors of the United Way of Sarasota, The Police Athletic League, the Rotary Club of Sarasota, as well as the Downtown Sarasota YMCA.   

Born and raised in Maryland, Mark has called Sarasota home for most of his career in the investment world.   In his free time Mark enjoys outdoor sports, tennis, and travel with his wife Ann.  They have three grown sons, Zach, Rob, and Lucas.
